Walkinshaw Street Bridgeton Sinkhole

Walkinshaw Street in Bridgeton has been closed after a sinkhole appeared in the carriageway.

To keep pedestrians and road users safe there is no access from the junction with Dunn Street in the interest of public safety.

The road is used by parents dropping off children at nearby Dalmarnock Primary School but we would ask them to find an alternative while we investigate what has happened and assess what repairs may be required.

Everything will be done to minimise any disruption and to complete any work as quickly as possible.
